Let's face it. Not everyone is a fan of the back-breaking work it can be to move large boulders and rocks into place when landscaping around the home. Oftentimes lightweight rocks are perfect for a wide variety of reasons.
What are the benefits of lightweight rocks?
The most obvious reason is the fact that they can be moved easily from place to place. Instead of having to struggle to roll a boulder through the lawn or use a wheel-barrow to transport it these boulders can be easily carried with one or two people.
They are easy to lift off utilities as well. If you need to access the well, septic, electrical box or valve underneath, it is easy for one person to simply lift the lightweight rock up from one end and tilt it back.
They are also extremely mobile and can be easily removed from the landscape during winter months if need be.
